Green Life
I am a chef with an international culinary education and more than three decades of diverse professional experience. As a painter and sculptor, I have always tried to take the combination of ingredients beyond the ordinary and blend art with food.
Since I became familiar with cooking at the age of nine, I later decided to study culinary arts academically and combine them with my artistic background. Three years ago, we moved from Connecticut to Tulsa, and I have continued the same passion I began there: introducing the cuisine of one of the oldest civilizations on earth — Persian food.
I understand that for many people Persian cuisine may still be unfamiliar. But seeing the excitement on people’s faces after trying the free samples I offer visitors gives me a great deal of hope. Their warm response encourages me and reminds me that food can create new memories in people’s minds.
I truly believe that much of our connection to food comes from memories — often reaching all the way back to childhood.
