Construction in Kendall Whittier

As part of the Improve Our Tulsa initiative, the intersection of Admiral Blvd. and S. Lewis Ave., as well as Admiral Pl. between Harvard Ave. and Lewis Ave., will be under construction effective immediately. The project will include street repaving, crosswalk upgrades, and concrete curb improvements.

This construction poses some logistical challenges for the Tulsa Farmers’ Market (TFM), as the affected intersection marks the starting point of our market footprint, which extends east to Atlanta Ave. However, since the work is limited in scope and scheduled for completion by Spring 2026, TFM plans to remain in Kendall Whittier and operate alongside the construction throughout the fall and winter seasons.

Traffic Changes
During construction, drivers will generally only be able to pass through the intersection traveling north and south, with one lane in each direction. East–west travel through the intersection will be restricted.

Impact on TFM
The market will lose vendor spaces closest to the intersection, but our footprint will extend beyond Atlanta Ave. on the east end to compensate for the loss. Whittier Square will remain open, as will the north entrance to the Square from Admiral Blvd., keeping the market accessible to the public.

Traffic & Parking Suggestions

  • Lewis Ave. or Behind Circle Cinema: Still a great parking option! However, instead of crossing at Admiral & Lewis, please cross at 1st & Lewis Ave.

  • From the East: Two large parking lots are available around St. Francis Xavier Church at Atlanta Ave. & Admiral Blvd., accessible from Atlanta Ave.

  • Other Options: Behind SheBrews Coffee Roasters, along 1st St., Atlanta Ave., Admiral Blvd. (west of construction), and nearby businesses such as Community Health Connection, Whittier Square Laundry, and Warehouse Market.

Pro Tips for Shopping

  • Shop Early: Traffic is lighter in the early hours.

  • Use TFM To-Go: Shop online Friday–Monday and pick up your curated grocery haul Wednesday evenings at the TFM office, 2308 E. Admiral Blvd.

As you can imagine, this construction impacts not only TFM but also the 100+ vendors who rely on the market for their livelihood. In the past—whether during construction on Cherry Street or the challenges of the pandemic—our loyal customers have always shown up for us. We hope you’ll continue to support TFM now more than ever.

Thank you and see you at the Market!
