Position: TFM Team Member
Status: Contractual; Saturdays, 5 am - 12 pm
Length of Term: 30 weeks; March 30th - October 19th
Pay: $17/hr
About TFM
The Tulsa Farmers’ Market (TFM) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with the robust vision of “Revolutionizing the Way Tulsa Eats”. As the largest farmers market in the state of Oklahoma, TFM has supported hundreds of farmers, ranchers, artisans, bakers, chefs, and other food producers over the last 26 years and will continue to nourish healthy connections between local producers and the community for years to come!
With over 100 vendors in its membership, TFM offers a diverse selection of nutrient dense Oklahoma Grown products. In addition to being a vibrant marketplace for local producers to directly connect with their consumers and make much needed income to sustain their businesses, TFM is also a place of community for all Tulsans and an educational hub promoting the benefits of knowing your farmer, eating fresh local foods, and growing your own food. TFM also advocates for healthier lifestyles and environmental stewardship at the Market and through community outreach.

Provide a thriving marketplace for local producers and consumers as Oklahoma's premier farmers' market.
Position Description: TFM is seeking a reliable, early riser who is excited and passionate about fresh, local foods to help us at our Saturday Markets through the high season. Our ideal candidate will know how to have fun while they work and can remain lighthearted even if things get a bit chaotic. Must be great with people, comfortable with handling cash, and willing to get their hands dirty and do some heavy lifting.
Scope of Work
Assist in set up of Saturday Farmers Markets including, but not limited to putting up multiple 10’ x 10’ tents, folding tables and chairs, market supplies, trash cans, cones, sandbags (20 lbs each), sandwich boards, etc.
Support token transactions at the Management Booth and provide superior customer service. Includes cash handling, SNAP/Debit/Credit Card transactions, and answering questions regarding the market and organization.
Assist in the Local Food Rescue program by collecting and aggregating produce during the second half of the market.
Aid in the tear down of the market. Pack up supplies and properly store them for next week’s use.
Qualifications
Capable of manual labor including lift 50 pounds
Able to work in all weather conditions
Reliable transportation
Strong communication skills
Ability to take direction and work independently as needed
Must work well with others!
