It’s National Farmers Market Week!

This week is all about celebrating the power of farmers markets—the way they strengthen local communities, support small producers, and create vibrant spaces where food and people come together.

Farmers markets aren’t just places to shop; they are vital links in our local food system. They offer opportunities to learn, grow, and connect. Designed in partnership with the communities they serve, markets bring together operators, farmers, shoppers, and neighbors to meet the evolving needs of the place they call home.

At Tulsa Farmers’ Market (TFM), we’re on a mission to revolutionize the way Tulsa eats. Here’s how we’re doing it:

- We’ve gone year-round, providing consistent access to fresh, local food no matter the season.

-We host the largest selection of local food in the state, with over 100 member vendors—more than 60 of whom are farmers and ranchers.

-We connect local producers with chefs through our TFM Chef Collective, fueling creativity and deepening local food culture.

-We offer a midweek market to give vendors more selling opportunities and shoppers another chance to buy local.

-We partner with Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to support small scale producers and ensure excess local food is saved from landfills.

-We support and encourage residents with limited access to fresh food by providing incentives and arranging for trips to the market through our TFM Transit Initiative.

-We launched TFM To-Go, an online shopping platform that makes it easier than ever to bring fresh, local food into your home.

And we do all this as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit—with no financial support from the city, county, or state. We do it because Tulsa deserves it. Our farmers deserve it. You deserve it.

This National Farmers Market Week, help us celebrate! Shop local and consider becoming a Friend of the Market with an annual donation to support our work.

From all of us at TFM, thank you for being part of our market and our community ❤️
