Ways to Pay

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Cash is always welcome at our Farmers’ Markets, but did you know that there are other ways to pay, as well?  All of our markets can accept debit cards and credit cards for those of us who don’t frequently carry cash.  In addition, the market is proud to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, available to customers at all markets. We are also excited to announce the continuation of Double Up Oklahoma (DUO). This healthy eating incentive program doubles SNAP benefits up to $20 per market day. These matching funds may be used to purchase fresh Oklahoma Grown fruits, vegetables, and raw nuts. Over the years, this program was made possible by independent donors, but most recently TFM has partnered with Hunger Free Oklahoma and other farmers markets throughout the state to be awarded the federal GusNIP Grant.

DEBIT & CREDIT PROCESSING

A wireless transaction terminal is available at the market manager’s booth.  After swiping a card through the machine, a customer will be given tokens that can be used to make purchases at individual vendors’ booths throughout the market.  Debit card and credit card customers will be given GREEN tokens in $5.00 increments.  Vendors are able to give change when necessary.  There is a $1.00 service charge for using your debit or credit card, which helps to support and maintain the market. These tokens are are accepted by all vendors and never expire.

SNAP BENEFITS

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, formerly known as food stamps, are accepted at the Tulsa Farmers’ Market.  A wireless EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) processing machine is available at the market manager’s booth.  After swiping a card through the machine, a customer will be given tokens that can be used to make purchases at individual vendors’ booths throughout the market.  SNAP customers will be given ORANGE tokens in $1.00 increments.  Please note that vendors are not allowed to give change to customers using the SNAP tokens and that these tokens can only be used to purchase approved products.
